Part of the 'Across the Nations' family. Established in 2004, having grown from years of involvement in Morocco. The founding members all live and work in Morocco. For years we have informally helped locals where we have been able to, yet as in so many places the needs overwhelm our own resources - and together we felt it was time to address these as effectively as we can. Our beginnings were rooted in providing fun activity days days for local orphanages and local schools. This grew to arts projects in schools and clubs and practically helping with some restoration projects. Alongside this we are involved with a village in the Sahara Desert encouraging local crafts, so keeping the skill of nomadic tent making alive. More recently we have established a branch in Laayoune and massively expanded our operations in the Marrakech region. We have continued to run arts and crafts projects in schools, restored a number of classrooms, involved locals in environmental actions, run a medical project in the mountains and generally kept ourselves very busy! Our latest project is setting up a special needs centre in the Massira quartier of Marrakech.
